MAST Center Phase III Funding Awarded from NSF

The MAST Center has secured its third and final phase of funding from the NSF. Our ongoing work continues of advancing membrane technologies to tackle global challenges, including water recycling, affordable purification methods for biopharmaceuticals, and the creation of membranes for safe and efficient food and beverage production. We're diligently working towards implementing a sustainability plan within the next five years to see the Center continue on after this phase of funding ends, collaborating closely with our industry partners to ensure the center evolves to meet their future needs.

Furthermore, we're forging strong ties with Northwest Arkansas Community College to establish a regional hub for research experiences and mentorship. This initiative extends beyond NWACC to include other community colleges in Little Rock and the surrounding area, with a primary focus on workforce development and preparing students for careers in the burgeoning biotech industry.

As we embark on this new phase, expect to see changes in branding, mission, and vision as we position ourselves for the next five years and beyond.
